Alaina is a senior commercial lawyer, specialising in projects and commercial contracts.

Alaina has particular experience in the energy industry. She is familiar with the regulatory landscape, and has been involved in large scale outsourcing services contracts for the operation and maintenance of gas and electricity distribution networks.

Alaina also has a focus on the technology sector. Alaina has been heavily involved in complex IT outsourcing transactions (for applications and infrastructure), as well as large scale IT projects (including an SAP ERP implementation).  She is also able to provide legal support on licensing arrangements.  Alaina has provided advice on a range of technology projects in the energy space, ranging from replacement SCADA projects through to ‘new technology’ smart meter roll outs and battery technology trials.

Alaina has more than 10 years of experience in commercial and legal roles. She commenced work with Bell Gully in 2003 and has worked at international law firms, including ‘Magic Circle’ firm Clifford Chance in London and King & Wood Mallesons in Melbourne. Alaina also worked at a large electricity and gas distribution company in Melbourne where she was involved in a significant project to restructure commercial arrangements.
